Lexus stopped accepting orders for the popular NX crossover model, Vietnamese customers will be affected

After Toyota and luxury brand Lexus officially announced to stop accepting orders for each company’s two leading SUV models, the Land Cruiser 300 and LX 600, it was the Crossover model’s turn to fall into a similar situation.

The 2022 Lexus NX duo launched in the Vietnamese market in April.

The official announcement from Lexus said that the company has stopped accepting orders for the NX model because it has exceeded production capacity and the return of orders will be based on the actual production situation in the future.

Lexus commented that the NX crossover model has been positively received in many parts of the world, but the problems encountered by the auto industry in general and Lexus in particular have made it impossible for the company to continue production as usual. .

The new Lexus NX model was launched in Vietnam in early April with two versions NX 350h and NX 350 F Sport. The car is imported from Japan with a starting price of 3.3 billion VND and 3.01 billion VND respectively.

Thus, with the impact of supply from the factory in Japan, Vietnamese customers who want to own this small luxury car will have to postpone their plans. In the previous situation, dealers in Vietnam also stopped accepting deposits for the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 model from mid-June.

Previously, Lexus also stopped accepting orders for its flagship SUV model, the LX 600. Both brands, Toyota and Lexus, had to cut production plans to 50,000 vehicles due to a constant lack of spare parts. This number is a significant reduction when the original plan was to produce 800,000 cars globally, of which 250,000 cars in Japan and 550,000 cars in other markets.
