Hyundai set the price of Ioniq 6 at nearly 1 billion, many Vietnamese customers are looking forward to the opening date

With a starting price of nearly 1 billion VND in the Korean market, Hyundai Ioniq 6 is expected to soon be available in the international market in early 2023.

In mid-July, Hyundai Ioniq 6 2024 announced at the Busan International Auto Show. However, the selling price and detailed specifications have not been announced. Recently, the country’s leading car company officially revealed the starting price as well as the price of each version. Hyundai said the Ioniq 6 will go into production in the third quarter of 2022 and go on sale from the first quarter of 2023.

Accordingly, Hyunda Ioniq 6 is sold in the Korean market with two main variants: Stardard Range and Long Range. Stardard Range only includes 1 Exclusive version, priced from 54 – 54.55 million Won (equivalent to about 967 – 976 million VND).

The Long Range variant has up to 3 versions: Exclusive, Exclusive Plus and Prestige with prices ranging from 58.5 – 64.5 million Won, equivalent to about 1.05 to 1.15 billion VND. This price does not include tax incentives for electric vehicles in its home country. It is expected that the on-road price of Ioniq 6 will be announced in September this year.


No wonder then Hyundai Ioniq 6 uses the same 77.4 kWh battery pack as the Hyundai Ioniq 5. The battery pack can send its power to a single motor with rear-wheel drive or a dual motor with all-wheel drive.


Hyundai only gave detailed specifications of the dual engine, producing 320 horsepower and 605 Nm of torque. The Korean automaker also mentioned a standard 53 kWh battery pack, slightly smaller than the 58 kWh type of the Ioniq 5, but it is unclear whether this option will be offered for international markets or not. Are not.


The leading Korean car company also said that the Ioniq 6 will reach a speed of 100 km/h from a stationary position in just 5.1 seconds with dual engines. As for operating range, according to WLTP standards, the electric sedan can travel a maximum of 610 km. Thanks to the improved design aimed at aerodynamics, the vehicle’s operating range is significantly higher than that of the Ioniq 5 (488 km).


Hyundai Ioniq 6 supports both 400Vol and 800Vol charging ports. With a 350 kW DC fast charger, the manufacturer says the Ioniq 6 can charge from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes. Like the Ioniq 5, the car also has a reverse charging (V2L) feature that allows owners to power electronic devices as a backup generator.


Inside the Ioniq 6 interior, drivers will be greeted by 64-color ambient lighting with six pre-selected themes and a new Speed ​​Sync Light that can quickly change color and brightness based on the vehicle’s speed. .

The optional Reclining Seat reclines to a resting position, just like the Ioniq 5 and is 30% thinner than a conventional car seat to increase cabin space. Some notable equipment such as the 12-inch central touchscreen and 12-inch digital display can now provide real-time travel radius maps based on battery percentage, including planning route to find charging stations along the way.

It’s the first Hyundai model to offer over-the-air updates, can update maps, and offer even more power and range through software alone.

Regarding the car’s dimensions, Hyundai has finally given detailed specifications. Ioniq 6 is a little longer than 4,851 mm, making the car slightly shorter than the gasoline Sonata, despite the longer wheelbase at 2,948 mm (compared to the Sonata’s 2,839 mm). With a height of 1,493 mm, the Ioniq 6 is nearly 50 mm taller than the Sonata but 102 mm shorter than the Ioniq 5.
