Diesel prices continue to be more expensive than gasoline prices, increasing by more than 800 VND per liter

From 3:00 p.m. on August 22, 2022, the price per liter of gasoline will remain the same, and some other oil products will also have their selling prices adjusted.

According to the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Finance, in this adjustment period, each liter of E5 Ron 92 and Ron 95 gasoline remains stable at the same price as 10 days ago, 24,660 VND and 23,720 VND per liter, respectively. However, diesel and kerosene products are adjusted to increase specifically:

  • E5 Ron 92 gasoline remains the same, the selling price does not exceed 23,720 VND/liter
  • Ron 95 gasoline remains the same, the selling price is not higher than 24,660 VND/liter
  • Diesel increased by 850 VND/liter, selling price no higher than 23,750 VND/liter
  • Kerosene increased by 730 VND/liter, selling price no higher than 24,050 VND/liter
  • Fuel oil remains the same, selling price is 16,540 VND/kg


In today’s operating period, the management agency does not spend money on the Price Stabilization Fund, and at the same time reduces the amount of contributions to this fund for gasoline and oil products. Specifically, the fund deduction rate for E5 Ron 92 gasoline is 451 VND and Ron 95 is 493 VND, 250 VND for diesel, 400 VND for kerosene and mazut is 641 VND per kg.

Domestic gasoline prices have currently gone through 22 adjustment periods, including 12 increases, 8 decreases and 1 unchanged price. Compared to the end of June, each liter of Ron 95 is about 8,210 VND cheaper, E5 Ron 92 is 7,580 VND, diesel is 6,200 VND.
