Ford Escape 2023 launched: more beautiful design and some new equipment

Ford Escape 2023 upgraded version with many changes both exterior and interior, comes with a series of amenities and additional safety technology.

Known as Kuga in Europe and some other markets, Fourth generation Ford Escape has been launched since 2019. Therefore, the American car company recently introduced an upgrade in the middle of this model’s life cycle. In addition to the three previous versions: Base, Active and Platinum, Ford’s crossover model also has a new, sportier ST-Line version with three different styles: ST-Line, ST-Line Select and ST-Line Elite. The most advanced version is Plug-In Hybrid.

The current generation of Ford Escape has been underrated because the design is not suitable for a crossover model – especially for the European market. The facelift of the 2023 Ford Escape has overcome the above drawback, with sharper lighting clusters and a more seamless design. This style is taken from the Edge and Explorer models in the higher segment. However


The front bumper has some changes such as a new interface with air vents on both sides integrated with LED technology fog lights. The grille has a design quite similar to the new Ford Territory model launched in Vietnam not long ago. The ST-Line version in the Elite and Select variants is equipped with 19-inch black-painted alloy wheels to increase the sporty look of the car.

Inside the interior compartment, Ford Escape 2023 Use a sportier D-Cut steering wheel, comes with a 13.2-inch central entertainment screen, 12.3-inch dashboard and wireless charging. The sports version is also covered in black leather on the interior but accentuated with red stitching. In addition, other standard equipment of the car such as 360-degree camera, rear parking sensors, smart adaptive cruise control,


If customers want to increase safety when operating the vehicle, they can choose Ford’s Co-Pilot 360 system that comes with Intersection Assist System 2.0 to minimize the risk of collision with pedestrians when turning. Other safety technologies include Blind Spot Assist System, Steering to avoid obstacles, Brake support when there is a vehicle behind, Brake support when reversing, Steering wheel vibration to warn the driver in case of possible collision occurs.


In terms of performance, the 2023 Ford Escape ST-Line uses a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine that produces 180 horsepower transmitted to the front wheels or optionally all four wheels. In addition, customers can choose to buy the Escape 2023 with a full hybrid system using FWD for a maximum travel range of 885 km. The ST-Line Select and ST-Line Elite have a larger 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine with 250 horsepower and standard AWD, along with a hybrid option.


The product line also includes a Plug-In Hybrid powertrain, combining a 2.5-liter gasoline engine with an electric motor and a CVT transmission. This engine block produces a total capacity of up to 210 horsepower, combined with a front-wheel drive system. According to Ford, the 2023 Escape PHEV can go up to 60 km without having to use an internal combustion engine. Users can fully charge the battery in 3.5-11 hours depending on the charger type.


In Vietnam, the current generation Ford Escape was present at the 2019 Vietnam Auto Show. The American car company had planned to assemble this crossover model to compete with the Mazda CX-5 and Honda CR-V since 2019. 2020, but so far this information has been refuted by Ford Territory with the cheapest selling price in the segment has been launched.
