Toyota Venza 2023 adds Nightshade version, upgrading a series of features

The new Venza model was revived for a new generation in 2021 and continues to be updated and upgraded with a series of technologies and features for the 2023 model year.

The Toyota Venza was refreshed not long ago with a hybrid version, but the 2023 model will have important upgrades and could be the premise for the once popular car to return to the market.

The new update was released by Toyota on May 12 when it launched the Nightshade Edition and especially the internal changes.

As for the Nightshade Edition, perhaps there is no need to describe too much as it has appeared in some other Toyota models recently, such as the Prius Nightshade.

However, the Venza Nightshade Edition will not only be pure black, it will also have red and white exterior colors with black accent decorations. This is not the most advanced version of Venza as it is based on the mid-range XLE version, the most advanced version is Venza Limited.

Both the interior and exterior are trimmed in black throughout, with optional black roof rails and dark chrome accents on the front bumper.

The wheels will be 19 inches and will come in no color other than glossy black.

Inside, the 2023 Venza is equipped with the company’s new Toyota Audio Multimedia infotainment system, which can also be found on new Lexus models such as the NX and RZ.

The standard entertainment system includes: 8-inch screen on LE and 12.3-inch screen on XLE and Limited versions; The model will be offered with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, Google maps, over-the-air updates and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. The Venza’s USB ports have also been updated, now offering one USB-A port and two USB-C ports.

Toyota also upgraded Venza’s safety system from Safety Sense 2.0 to Safety Sense 2.5. Differences in version 2.5 include: automatic emergency braking to help prevent collisions when turning left through intersections and enhanced steering assistant, adaptive cruise control and assistance systems. lane keeping, blind spot monitoring, rear seat reminder and parking sensors…

Venza 2023 is equipped with a 2.5-liter in-line 4-cylinder Atkinson gasoline engine combined with three electric motors. The combined 0.9kwh battery pack will produce 219 horsepower and a continuously variable transmission system.

Toyota has not yet set an official sale date for the 2023 Venza, but many comments say it could be as soon as this year. The selling price has not been disclosed, but a preliminary assessment can be based on the 2022 Venza with the base version starting at $34,455 and the most expensive version being nearly $42,000, the Venza 2023 will not differ too much.

Toyota Venza was once one of the most popular models in Vietnam thanks to its eye-catching appearance and ahead-of-its-time SUV design, but it gradually disappeared when Toyota stopped production. The upcoming version may mark the return of this once popular car model, but it is unlikely to have a boom when considering the price in Vietnamese currency, which can be around 3 – 4 billion VND.
