Porsche launched the 911 Sport Classic with a manual transmission, easily appealing to nostalgic tycoons like Dang Le Nguyen Vu

Porsche recently launched a nostalgic Sport Classic version for the 992 generation 911 model. In this generation, the 911 Sport Classic will have 542 horsepower and comes with a manual transmission and rear-wheel drive.

The Porsche 911 Sport Classic was first introduced in the 997 model year in 2009. At that time, the car was only produced in 250 units and all of them quickly found their owners after only 48 hours from launch.

In the new 992 generation, the Porsche 911 Sport Classic will be produced in larger numbers, 1,250 units, and is developed on the platform of the Porsche 911 Turbo S.


Developed on the high-performance version 911 Turbo S, the new Sport Classic version of the 911 series is equipped with a 6-cylinder boxer engine, 3.7 liters of twin turbocharged capacity, generating 542 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque. This power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a 7-speed manual transmission, with no automatic transmission and AWD options.

With power tuned exclusively to the rear axle and manual transmission, the new 911 Sport Classic can accelerate from a standstill to 199 km/h in 2.8 seconds.

The car is also equipped as standard with state-of-the-art systems such as active suspension system (PASM), chassis control system (PDCC), rear wheel steering, ceramic – carbon fiber brakes, Sport Chrono package and exhaust pipe. sport.


Outside, the 911 (992) Sport Classic has had its exterior revised, highlighting the large “ducktail” rear spoiler. This is a detail inspired by the 1973 Porsche Carrera 2.7 RS. The car is also equipped with large five-spoke Carrera Exclusive Design wheels, 20 inches in front and 21 inches in the rear, inspired by famous Fuchs tray.

Regarding the price, Porsche announced that the 911 Sport Classic will be positioned in the segment between the 911 GTS and 911 Turbo lines. However, because it is a special edition, the car will have a starting price of 274,714 Euros, about 80,000 Euros higher than the standard 911 Turbo. In the US, the car will have a starting price of 260,000 USD. Because it is a limited edition, the starting price can only be considered a number as dealers will race to increase the car’s selling price.
