In today’s executive period, the inter-ministries did not make appropriations and stopped spending from the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund. As of July, this fund has a surplus of VND 7,438 billion. Therefore, the management agency has stopped making appropriations to this fund from the beginning of July until now.

Thus, from the beginning of the year until now, gasoline prices have gone through 23 administrations, including 13 increases, 7 decreases and 3 times remaining the same. According to information, fuel prices are influenced by factors such as: concerns surrounding China’s economic activities, changes in the USD exchange rate, declines in US crude oil reserves, and China’s use of Oil reserves to prevent OPEC+ from cutting sources to push oil prices up… The above factors caused gasoline prices from August 11 to August 20 to fluctuate up and down.
