Ford Explorer does not have enough cars to sell in Vietnam, China is preparing to have a new version

The 6th generation of Ford Explorer has officially appeared in the Chinese market, this is considered a mid-life upgrade of this model.

Previously, Ford planned to launch the large CUV model Explorer 2023 at the Beijing exhibition, but then this event was canceled and information appeared on the portal of the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The number is believed to belong to a Ford Explorer.

Because it is a mid-life upgrade, the Ford Explorer still has the design of the current generation, only editing some details such as the headlights at the front of the car with a thinner interface, the grille has also changed slightly with patterns. The slats are vertical inside and somewhat more seamless.

The two air vents have also been made slimmer, the daytime lights have not appeared, and the front bumper has also been refined. On the side of the car, only the wheels have been replaced. The LED taillight cluster has a row of lights in the middle, creating a more angular connection. Accompanied by a larger size chrome-plated exhaust pipe.

According to the parameters, the car size has increased somewhat but not significantly. Specifically, the length from 5,050 mm in the old generation was increased to 5,063 mm, possibly due to the new front / rear bumpers. The width, height and wheelbase remain unchanged.

In addition, some photos said to be the interior of the 2023 Ford Explorer also have major changes, such as the previous vertical center screen being converted to a horizontal format with a length that almost covers the entire dashboard. The steering wheel has been converted to an electronic form with a size of about 12.4 inches. The car may be equipped with a HUD head-up screen. The central pedestal cluster has also been redone to be more modern.

Regarding operation, it is likely that the 2023 Ford Explorer will continue to use the 2.3L EcoBoost engine with a capacity of 272 horsepower, 425 Nm with a 10-speed automatic transmission and an undisclosed price.

In Vietnam, Ford Explorer has just introduced a new version with a price of 2.3 billion VND, however, the vehicle’s supply is currently not abundant due to the lack of necessary components for assembly.
