BMW launched the new X7 LCI with a series of upgrades and headlights similar to VinFast Lux SA 2.0

BMW recently officially launched the facelift version of the X7 SUV with many outstanding upgrades, especially in appearance and accompanying technologies.

With the new BMW X7 LCI, the German automaker not only brings a new, more modern upgraded appearance to the large luxury SUV but also introduces customers to a new design style that will be used on luxury sedans to the 7-Series, the i7 electric SUV and the upgraded version of the Alpina XB7.

On the X7 LCI, BMW has changed the design of the front light cluster. Now, the light cluster will be divided in half with the thin light strip on top being used as a positioning light while the main light cluster is placed deep below the bumper. This design is probably too familiar to customers in Vietnam when the two luxury car models VinFast Lux SA2.0 and Lux ​​A2.0 both use a similar design.

The X7 LCI’s grille has a new, more square design that can be chrome-plated or painted black or matte black. Some trim details on the bumper, door trim, sides as well as the rear of the car can also be finished in a similar style. In the X7 xDrive40i, customers can optionally add a grille with beautiful border lights.

The overall design of the X7 LCI is not too different from the previous X7, except for the headlight cluster mentioned above and the new digital taillight cluster. Inside, the cockpit of the BMW X7 LCI is also upgraded with a set of connected dual screens, curved towards the driver. This screen cluster includes a 12.3-inch information screen and a 14.9-inch touch entertainment screen with iDrive 8 operating system. In this upgraded version, the BMW X7 is sold in 3 versions. The most basic is the X7 xDrive40i, equipped with a turbocharged 3.0-liter i6 engine with 48V hybrid electric technology. This engine gives the car 375 horsepower and 519 Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the wheels through an 8-speed ZF transmission and xDrive AWD drive system, allowing the car to accelerate to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds.

More advanced is the BMW X7 M60i with a twin-turbo V8 engine, 4.4 liter capacity with 48V hybrid electric technology. This engine gives the car a capacity of 523 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque. This version takes 4.5 seconds to reach a speed of 96 km/h from a stationary position.

The highest version is the Alpine XB7, using the same 4.4-liter V8 engine as the X7 M60i but upgraded to produce 630 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. This power allows the car to accelerate to 96 km/h in 4 seconds and reach a maximum speed of up to 290 km/h.

The BMW X7 LCI is equipped with an air suspension system with self-balancing capability in all versions. The M60i comes standard with an active stabilizer bar and rear-wheel steering system. The gearbox and engine are also set up with a completely new Sprint mode.

The BMW X7 LCI has a starting price of 77,850 USD for the xDrive40i version. The M60i version has a starting price of 103,100 USD. These two versions will begin to be available on the market from this fall while the Alpina XB7 will start being sold from 2023.
