Strange cars from China appear in Vietnam, in the same segment as Mitsubishi Xpander, with the same design as an SUV

At present, there are quite a few cars from China in Vietnam, but most of them are small cars/electric cars, B/C class high-riding cars, and recently there is a strange name in the MPV segment.

Accordingly, on car groups are spreading images of a small 7-seat MPV car said to be SWM Tiger appearing at a testing center next to the small electric car model Wuling Hongguang mini Ev and the chassis model. Haval H6 high.

The above image makes many people speculate that the above car model may be introduced in the Vietnamese market, but it is unclear whether it is an official car or a private import. SWM Tiger is positioned in the low-cost 7-seat MPV multi-purpose vehicle segment.

Based on the manufacturer’s specifications, the SWM Tiger has dimensions of length, width and height of 4,605 x 1,815 x 1,825 mm, wheelbase of 2,780 mm with a 2-3-3 seat configuration. The above numbers show that the space of SWM Tiger is somewhat more comfortable than the segment king Mitsubishi Xpander.

Although classified as an SUV, the SWM Tiger has a square design at both the front and rear with a basic exterior including halogen headlights, front disc brakes, rear drum brakes, 17-inch wheels, and a roof with additional racks. The luggage and overall appearance are somewhat similar to classic SUV models.

Located in the low-cost segment, SWM Tiger only has basic equipment such as felt seats, 7-inch central screen, mechanical driving clock combined with 3.5-inch LCD screen. The higher-end version has the option of leather seats and a sunroof.

Regarding operation, SWM Tiger also only uses a 1.5L engine for 108 horsepower and 155 Nm of torque, but is only equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive with safety equipment. just at the basic level.

SWM Tiger has a price ranging from 197 – 260 million VND depending on the version. It is currently unclear which distributor this new MPV model belongs to, as well as the time and selling price. However, only having a manual transmission option will be a big disadvantage because currently, customers using service vehicles have preferred manual transmissions more than before.
