Vietnamese people still hesitate to buy motorbikes and cars even though the company has reduced prices many times

Honda has just announced its business results for October 2023, according to which sales of both motorbike and car segments decreased sharply compared to the previous month.

2023 is a sad economic year when companies report a decrease in sales compared to the same period last year. Typically, Honda, a motorbike company that holds the majority of market share in the Vietnamese market, also faces many difficulties and challenges. Recently, Honda Vietnam announced its business results for October 2023, according to which the motorbike production and business segment recorded a sharp decline.

Specifically, in October 2023, Honda sold a total of 180,881 motorbikes, down 7.5% over the previous month and down 25.7% over the same period last year. This is not a surprising number because in previous months Honda also recorded dismal sales.

In the automobile segment, vehicle sales also decreased by 15.9% over the previous month and increased by 23.2% over the same period. Specifically, the company sold a total of 2,148 cars in October 2023. Cumulatively for the 2024 fiscal year (lasting from April 2023 to March 2024), Honda Vietnam achieved sales of 12,850 vehicles, down 27.3% over the same period last year.

Among car models sold in the Vietnamese market, Honda City is the best-selling car model with sales of 751 cars. In second place is Honda CR-V with 477 cars sold.
