The Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA) said that in October 2023, sales of the entire market reached 25,369 vehicles, nearly equal to September 2023 and down 31% compared to October 2022. .

Specifically, out of a total of 25,369 vehicles sold in October 2023, there were 19,624 passenger cars, 5,604 commercial vehicles and 141 specialized vehicles.

Total sales of the entire market by the end of October 2023 decreased by 29% compared to 2022. Passenger cars decreased by 32%, commercial vehicles decreased by 16% and specialized vehicles decreased by 60% compared to 2022. By the end of October 2023, sales of domestically assembled cars decreased by 27% while imported cars decreased by 33% compared to the same period last year.

Also according to VAMA, with the car consumption results in October mentioned above, passenger car sales decreased by 0.2%, commercial vehicles increased by 1% and specialized vehicles decreased by 14% compared to the previous month. Sales of domestically assembled cars reached 16,414 cars, down 1% compared to the previous month, and sales of completely imported cars were 8,955 cars, up 2% compared to September.
