Gasoline and oil prices suddenly dropped to just over 21,000 VND/liter

From 3:00 p.m. on November 23, 2023, prices of gasoline products decreased from 510 to 580 VND but oil prices tended to decrease.

According to the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Finance, in this adjustment period, each liter of E5 Ron 92 and Ron 95 gasoline has a decrease of 580 – 510 VND, especially diesel and kerosene products are also adjusted to decrease from 570 to 510 VND. 600 VND depending on type, specifically:

  • Ron 95 gasoline is reduced by 510 VND/liter, the selling price is not higher than 23,020 VND/liter
  • E5 Ron 92 gasoline reduced by 580 VND/liter, selling price no more than 21,690 VND/liter
  • Diesel reduced by 600 VND/liter, selling price no higher than 20,280 VND/liter
  • Kerosene reduced by 570 VND/liter, selling price no higher than 20,940 VND/liter
  • Fuel oil increased by 10 VND/liter, selling price no higher than 15,630 VND/kg


During today’s executive period, the inter-ministries continue to not make appropriations to the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund and stop spending from this fund on gasoline and oil products. Since the beginning of the year until now, gasoline prices have undergone 32 adjustments, including 17 increases, 11 decreases and 4 times remaining unchanged.

According to the Inter-Ministry, the world petroleum market in the past 10 days decreased slightly due to a decrease in demand due to the economic recession and slow global growth, and an increase in US crude oil inventories.
