Vehicles are banned from many central roads in Ho Chi Minh City from now until the end of 2023

Vehicles are banned in the morning on many downtown streets for 18 days for firefighting and rescue drills at Metro No. 1’s Ben Thanh Station.

The ban period is from December 4 to 18 and December 20 from 5:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and on December 21 and 23, it will be banned from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. According to the Department of Transport, vehicles are prohibited around Ben Thanh underground station during this period to ensure safety.

The scope of prohibition includes routes: Tran Hung Dao (from Ky Con to Ham Nghi), Le Loi (Ham Nghi to Nam Ky Khoi Nghia), Ham Nghi (Tran Hung Dao to Nam Ky Khoi Nghia), Le Lai (Truong Dinh to Le Loi), Huynh Thuc Khang (Le Loi to Nam Ky Khoi Nghia), Phan Chu Trinh (Le Thanh Ton to Le Lai), Phan Boi Chau (Le Thanh Ton to Le Loi).

Nguyen An Ninh (Truong Dinh to Phan Chu Trinh), Luu Van Lang (Nguyen Trung Truc to Phan Boi Chau), Dang Thi Nhu (Ky Con to Calmette), Calmette (Le Thi Hong Gam to Tran Hung Dao), Pham Ngu Lao (Yersin to Tran Hung Dao), Pho Duc Chinh (Ham Nghi to Le Cong Kieu).

Alternative route from Tran Hung Dao to Le Loi or Ham Nghi (District 5 to District 1), including 3 ways:

  • Tran Hung Dao – Yersin or Ky Con – Nguyen Cong Tru – Pasteur – Ham Nghi or Le Loi.
  • Tran Hung Dao – Nguyen Thai Hoc – Nguyen Thi Nghia – Ly Tu Trong – Nam Ky Khoi Nghia – Le Loi or Ham Nghi.
  • Tran Hung Dao – Nguyen Thai Hoc – Vo Van Kiet – Ton Duc Thang.

Alternative directions from Le Loi to Tran Hung Dao (District 1 to District 5), include:

  • Le Loi – Pasteur – Le Thanh Ton – Pham Hong Thai – Nguyen Thi Nghia – Nguyen Thai Hoc – Tran Hung Dao.
  • Le Loi – Nam Ky Khoi Nghia – Nguyen Thai Binh – Nguyen Thai Hoc – Tran Hung Dao.
  • Le Loi – Nam Ky Khoi Nghia – Vo Van Kiet – Nguyen Thai Hoc – Tran Hung Dao.
